Zoos SA is a not-for-profit conservation charity that exists to save species from extinction and connect people with nature. Zoos SA manages Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park, which is one of the largest open range zoos outside of Africa, spanning more than 1,500 hectares of diverse fauna and flora, having recently expanded with the inclusion of our Asian Elephant habitat!

ABOUT THE ROLE...
This role will work across our Monarto Safari Park and Wild Africa sites for a maximum term 12-month period, undertaking the upkeep and maintenance ensuring a well-maintained environment for occupants and visitors playing a crucial role in preserving the facility's integrity and ensuring a positive experience for all.
As part of this role, day-to-day tasks may include:
- Maintain amenities/grounds to high standards of cleanliness.
- Perform outdoor tasks, including weeding, watering plants, and trimming/slashing bushes.
- Remove litter and debris from outdoor areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Assist the Coordinator of Horticulture and the wider team with basic horticulture duties.
ABOUT YOU...
This role is an entry level position for a maximum term 12-month period, no prior knowledge is required however, to be considered for this position you will need to meet the following essential selection criteria:
- Availability to work across a seven-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays, with the Monarto Safari Park hours of operation being 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM during daylight savings.
- Hold a current South Australia driver's licence.
