Due to ongoing demand, an opportunity is available for a reliable and hardworking Garden Maintenance Officer to join their team. Your new roleAs a Garden Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in the maintenance and care of trees, gardens and outdoor spaces throughout Adelaide's Northern Suburbs. This is a hands-on position involving a variety of tree maintenance, vegetation management and general groundskeeping duties.
Working both independently and as part of a team, you will help ensure outdoor environments are safe, well-presented and maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Tree pruning and general tree maintenance
- Feeding and operating wood chippers safely
- Tree mulching and vegetation management
- Spraying and weed control activities
- Tree watering and establishment maintenance
- General site clean-up and debris removal
- Assisting with garden and open space maintenance
- Operating tools, equipment and small plant machinery
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite
- Undertaking manual handling and physically demanding outdoor work
- Following all safety and environmental procedures
What you'll need to succeed:
- Qualifications and/or experience in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Parks & Gardens or a related field highly regarded
- Current MR Driver's Licence
- White Card
- Current National Police Clearance
- Experience within tree maintenance, vegetation management, landscaping or grounds maintenance is advantageous
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
