Full Time Pharmacy Technician

We are currently seeking Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Green Street Dispensary on a full-time basis. For a successful candidate an annual salary of $79,500 plus superannuation will be offered.

Responsibilities to be performed under the supervision of registered pharmacist:

• Process prescriptions using Minfos pharmacy software to maintain accurate patient medication records, and file prescriptions in accordance with legal retention requirements.
• Assist the supervising pharmacist with checking prescriptions for accuracy and patient safety, preparing, dispensing, labelling, and packaging medications, including medicinal cannabis products.
• Assist with the handling, storage, and supply of controlled medicines in accordance with applicable regulations and pharmacy procedures.
• Maintain pharmaceutical inventory by receiving stock, monitoring stock levels, ordering medicines and supplies, and ensuring appropriate storage conditions.
• Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and expiry dates, recording incoming and outgoing medications, applying FIFO and FEFO stock rotation methods, placing supplier orders, and ensuring medicines and medical supplies are stored, handled, and disposed of appropriately.
• Respond to enquiries regarding prescription processing, medication collection, and delivery arrangements.
• Assist with documenting medication-related incidents, adverse drug reactions, medication reconciliation, and quality assurance activities under the pharmacist’s supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and secure dispensary, ensuring compliance with medication safety standards and pharmacy procedures.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Hold relevant qualifications at a Bachelor level or higher
