Full Stack .NET Developer
6-Month Contract with Potential Extension
Canberra Based | Preference for Canberra-Based Candidates
Hybrid | 2 Days per Week Onsite

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Developer to join a government client on a significant technology transformation project focused on modernising and improving critical enterprise applications. This is a hands-on development opportunity for someone with strong experience across .NET, React, SQL Server and SSIS, who is comfortable working across both application and data layers. Experience modernising legacy applications, including transitioning older VB6-based functionality to .NET, would be particularly valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance full-stack solutions using C#, .NET and React
- Develop APIs and backend services to support enterprise applications
- Create responsive and reusable front-end functionality
- Work extensively with SQL Server, including stored procedures, queries and database optimisation
- Develop and maintain SSIS/ETL solutions for data migration and integration
- Support the transition of legacy applications and functionality to modern technologies
- Troubleshoot application issues and improve performance and reliability
- Contribute to automated deployments and CI/CD practices
- Collaborate with analysts, architects, testers and other technical specialists
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality development practices
What We’re Looking For
You’ll ideally bring strong commercial experience with:
- C# and .NET Core / .NET Framework
- NET MVC / ASP.NET Core
- js, JavaScript and TypeScript
- SQL Server and T-SQL
- SSIS and ETL development
- RESTful API development
- Entity Framework
- Database design and performance tuning
- Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD
- HTML, CSS and Bootstrap
- Agile delivery environments
