HAYS has partnered with one of Australia's largest recycling facilities nationwide.
Our client has a new plant in Logan, Brisbane and is looking to expand their team with a Forklift Operator for an ongoing opportunity.
Your new role
As their new Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:
- Assist in the daily operations of moving recycled materials in bales around the facility with a counterbalance forklift
- Collaborate with internal departments to reach daily operation targets
- Complete pre-start checks and contribute to record keeping
- Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to keeping the site hazard free
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this vacancy, you should have or obtain the following:
- Valid High Risk Work - Forklift Licence
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
- Due to the working environment, you will need to have, or be willing to, obtain the following vaccinations: Tetanus, Hepatitis A & B
- Previous experience in a forklift role in a warehouse or yard environment
- Previous counterbalance forklift operations
- Ability to commit to the working conditions in a waste environment
