Forklift Operator

Holt Farming are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our sweet potato farm in Bundaberg. This role may involve a mix of outdoor farm work and indoor duties within our packing shed.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

2. Excellent attention to detail
3. Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
4. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
5. Flexibility with hours and availability for weekend work
6. Physical fitness and the ability to work in all weather conditions and environments
7. A current forklift LF License
8. Strong safety awareness and adherence to safe work practices
9. Proven forklift operating experience, including loading / unloading trucks, stacking bins and operating in confined spaces
10. Ability to conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks
11. Competence in handling produce carefully to minimise damage
12. Ability to follow instructions from the Farm Manager, Packing Shed Manager and Director
13. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and report issues
14. Experience working in agriculture or a packing shed (highly regarded but not essential)
