Forklift Mechanic – Day Shift | Crestmead, Brisbane
This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity. You will start as a casual for the first few months, with the chance to convert to permanent for the right person.
Pay
- Casual rate: $56.25 per hour ($45 base + 25% casual loading)
- Day shift
The Role
- Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on forklifts
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Complete routine inspections and maintain accurate service records
- Troubleshoot issues and get machines back online quickly
- Order parts and manage basic workshop stock as needed
- Work safely and follow all site WHS procedures
- Coordinate external repairs when required
- Keep the workshop clean, organised and efficient
About You
- Qualified Mechanic (Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Plant or equivalent)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
- Practical, solutions-focused approach
- Good communication skills
- Current driver’s licence
- Willing to complete site inductions and follow safety rules
- Prior forklift mechanic experience is ideal but not essential if you are mechanically switched on and keen to learn
Hours & Location
- Full-time day shift
- Based onsite at the Crestmead depot, Brisbane
