Our client is a wellEstablished mining operation in Far North Queensland, offering ongoingOpportunities for experienced Fixed Plant Fitters to join a close-knitMaintenance team. Working on a 2:2 roster, you'll play a key role inMaintaining critical processing infrastructure across the site.

Your new role
As a Fixed PlantFitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of fixedPlant equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of theProcessing plant.

Key responsibilitiesInclude:

  • Conducting inspection, servicing and maintenance activities on fixed plant equipment
  • Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on crushers, screens, conveyors and associated plant
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults
  • Carrying out componentsreplacements, repairs and equipment overhauls
  • Assisting with shutdownmaintenance and improvement projects
  • Completing maintenance reports, inspections and required documentation
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures
  • Working collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to maximise equipment reliability

What you'll need to succeed

  • Mechanical TradeQualification (Cert III Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
  • Current HR Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space and EWP tickets
  • Minimum 3 years' experiencein a fixed plant maintenance environment
  • Experience working oncrushers, screens, conveyors and processing equipment
  • Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and maintenance documentation
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Highly regarded:

  • Previous mining or quarrying experience
  • Experience within mineralsprocessing operations
  • SAP or CMMS maintenance system experience
  • Intermediate computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
