Permanent Mechanical Fitter required for heavy equipment manufacturer

Your new role

  • Mechanical assembly of heavy machinery and equipment
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Installation of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components
  • Fault finding, diagnostic work and equipment testing
  • Conducting repairs, maintenance and modifications as required
  • Ensuring all work is completed to quality and safety standards
  • Collaborating with production, engineering and service teams

What you'll need to succeed

  • Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent
  • Experience within manufacturing, heavy equipment, mining, construction equipment or related industries
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven fault-finding abilities
  • Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics highly regarded
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Team-oriented attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
