This is a unique opportunity for a strong finance and bookkeeping professional who enjoys combining hands-on financial responsibilities with broader operational, governance and office management duties.
 
The Opportunity

This is not a traditional Office Manager role.

The position is a mix between bookkeeping, operations, governance and office management. Bookkeeping experience is essential for this role. 

Reporting directly to the Group Executive - Corporate Operations, you will take ownership of bookkeeping and financial administration across a group of entities, while also supporting governance, compliance and day-to-day business operations.
 
Key Responsibilities 

Finance & Bookkeeping

  • End-to-end bookkeeping across multiple entities using MYOB
  • Bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and financial administration
  • Corporate credit card and expense reconciliations
  • Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting requirements
  • AFSL related compliance obligations for regulated entities
  • Maintain share trading and investment registers
  • Support the migration of legacy MYOB systems to cloud-based solutions
  • Assist with bookkeeping and financial administration for associated entities

Governance & Compliance

  • Coordinate board and committee meetings, including agendas, minutes and board papers
  • Maintain company registers and governance records
  • Support ASIC and corporate compliance activities
  • Maintain compliance, policy and procedure registers
  • Assist with audit documentation and regulatory record keeping
  • Manage contract, lease and insurance registers

Operations & Office Management

  • Provide executive support to the Group Executive - Corporate Operations
  • Oversee reception and office administration activities
  • Coordinate suppliers, facilities and office services
  • Support HR onboarding, offboarding and employee record management
  • Organise corporate functions, meetings and events
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the business

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A strong mix of office management and bookkeeping experience
  • Demonstrated end-to-end accounts and reconciliation experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence working independently in a small business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional communication and presentation skills

Desirable Experience

  • Financial services, banking, investment management or professional services experience
  • AFSL compliance experience
  • Exposure to governance, compliance or regulated environments
  • Knowledge of financial markets or investment products
  • MYOB experience
