Join a well-established and growing financial services organisation with a strong presence in the Australian lending and securitisation market. An opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager to lead a small finance team and take ownership of financial control, reporting and compliance across the organisation.
The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting strategic business initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a small finance team
- Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Overseeing cash flow and liquidity management
- Maintaining general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing monthly management reporting, including warehouse and securitisation structures
- Assisting with monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Coordinating tax compliance activities including GST, FBT, PAYG and income tax
- Managing regulatory reporting and statutory compliance obligations
- Supporting annual audit and financial statement preparation
- Providing technical accounting guidance and financial control expertise
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and driving efficiencies
- Participating in finance transformation and reporting enhancement projects
- Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data within MYOB
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in a finance leadership or senior financial accounting role
- Experience within financial services, lending, banking, funds management or a related industry
- Strong financial control, reporting and compliance experience
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Advanced reconciliation and general ledger management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
