Sydney & Melbourne | Permanent Full Time
Strong on service and fault finding, but interested in getting more exposure to commissioning and major projects?
We’re hiring experienced Field Service Technicians to support major Data Centre and Critical Infrastructure projects.
This could suit someone from a strong commercial HVAC or refrigeration background who wants to work across more specialised cooling equipment, new installations and commissioning, while still using their service and fault finding skills.
You do not need Data Centre experience.
If you have a solid background across HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water or cooling systems, the specialist equipment can be trained.
Some of What’s On Offer
- Strong Earning Potential - Competitive salary, plenty of overtime available if you want the extra hours, plus a fully maintained company vehicle.
- Major Data Centre Projects - Work across some of Australia’s largest Data Centre and Critical Infrastructure environments.
- Specialist Product Training - Build deeper knowledge across precision cooling, thermal controls and critical cooling systems.
- More Than Reactive Service - Work across new equipment, commissioning, start up, testing and technical fault finding alongside ongoing service activities.
- Quality Tools and Equipment - Be properly equipped to do the job and supported by an experienced technical team.
- Long Term Career Options - Progress into Senior Technical, Commissioning, Technical Specialist, Project Engineering or Leadership roles.
- Strong Team Tenure - Join an established team where many technicians and technical leaders have built long term careers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Service and maintain HVAC, precision cooling and industrial chiller systems across Data Centre and Critical Infrastructure sites.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, including electrical and mechanical fault finding across refrigeration systems, chilled water plant, controls and associated cooling equipment.
- Support equipment start up, functional testing, BMS integration, commissioning and customer handover when required.
What Will Make You Successful
- Mechanical or refrigeration trade background, Refrigerant Handling Licence and ideally a Restricted Electrical Licence, with experience across commercial HVAC, chillers or refrigeration.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills, with exposure to chilled water systems, controls, BMS, precision cooling or large chiller plant highly regarded.
- Comfortable working independently, solving technical problems and continuing to build your knowledge across specialist cooling equipment.
Why Apply?
If you’re an experienced HVAC, Refrigeration or Chiller Technician who enjoys fault finding and getting into the technical side of the equipment, this is a strong next move.
You’ll stay hands on with service and maintenance while building deeper experience across critical cooling, controls, chilled water, new equipment and major Data Centre environments.
It’s an opportunity to become more specialised, broaden your technical capability and build a long term career within Critical Infrastructure.
We invite you to apply and look forward to speaking with you.
