Our client is an established commercial construction business with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across South East Queensland. With a diverse range of commercial projects, they are looking for an Estimator to join their team and contribute to the successful pricing and tendering of upcoming projects.
With exposure to a range of commercial construction projects, this is an opportunity for an Estimator who enjoys the technical detail, commercial strategy and collaboration involved in putting together competitive tenders.
The role
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, trade breakdowns and tender submissions.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Complete quantity take-offs and assess material, labour and subcontractor costs.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities and potential variations.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal project teams.
- Assist with tender reviews, bid submissions and project handovers.
About you
- Previous estimating experience within commercial construction is essential.
- Experience across new builds, fit-outs, refurbishments or similar commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of construction costs, trades and building methodologies.
- Ability to interpret drawings and identify project risks.
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Strong communication, organisation and time management skills.
- Experience with Cubit or similar estimating software is advantageous.
