AWAHS is launching an exciting new ‘Journey to Motherhood’ Program to provide culturally safe, wraparound care for Aboriginal women and women carrying Aboriginal babies throughout pregnancy, birth and early parenting.
This is an opportunity to join a passionate multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal women, babies and families while creating lasting change for future generations.
Lead the clinical delivery of the Journey to Motherhood Program by providing culturally safe, woman centred maternity care from early pregnancy through to the postnatal period.
Working alongside the Aboriginal Health Worker, Social Worker, GPs and community partners, you will build trusted relationships with women and families while providing antenatal care, health education, postnatal support and outreach services across Albury-Wodonga, Benalla and Wangaratta.
This is an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where continuity of care and genuine relationships are valued.
You will have
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Endorsed Midwife qualification (or eligibility to obtain endorsement)
- Experience providing antenatal and postnatal care
- A passion for culturally safe maternity care
