About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Electrician to join our Infrastructure Services team based in North Brisbane. You’ll be working on Energex Network installations - High Voltage and Large-scale commercial & industrial installations e.g. Powering Hospitals, major shopping centres, high rise buildings.
As an Electrician your tasks will include, but not be limited to:
- Interpreting drawings, specifications, and manuals to complete infrastructure electrical works
- Problem-solving and reporting in line with job and safety requirements
- Planning tasks and ensuring appropriate equipment and resources are on hand
- Ensuring full compliance with OH&S standards, codes, and project regulations
- Communicating effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal team members
What you’ll bring
- A current unrestricted QLD Electrical Licence
- A current manual Driver’s Licence
- Previous experience with Energex/Ergon networks (preferred but not essential)
- Familiarity with high-voltage infrastructure, substations, large customer connections or underground/overhead reticulation (ideal but not mandatory)
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
- Strong understanding of WHS and electrical code compliance
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
