Early Childhood Educator / Child Care Worker, Montessori Centre, Punchbowl
Montessori Punchbowl Pty Ltd is hiring 2 full-time Child Care Workers for our centre in Punchbowl, NSW.
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per annum + super
Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday (rostered between 7:30am and 6:00pm)
Location: Punchbowl NSW 2196
Who we are
We are a Montessori-based early learning centre in Sydney’s south-west, caring for 57 children aged 0–5 in four rooms. Our programs focus on child-led learning, independence and school readiness, and we work closely with families to support every child.
What you’ll do
- Design and run engaging, play-based and Montessori learning experiences under the EYLF
- Set up and care for Montessori materials and learning spaces
- Supervise children safely throughout daily routines and keep required ratios
- Record observations and plan for each child’s learning and development
- Look after children’s wellbeing, hygiene, meals and safety
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians
- Follow centre policies, child protection requirements and the National Quality Framework
What you’ll need
- A Certificate III, Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant childcare experience
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check
- Current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma training
- Knowledge of Montessori principles (desirable)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
