Drill Operator

The Role As a Drill Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of heavy mining equipment to ensure maximum reliability and performance across site operations.
Equipment includes:
- Sandvik DR410i, DI650i and DP1500/1600 drills.
- CAT 6060 shovels.
- Komatsu PC1250 excavators.
- Liebherr 9600, 9400 and 9200 excavators.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues and performing breakdown maintenance.
- Identifying and replacing faulty components.
- Ensuring all maintenance is completed safely and efficiently.
- Following site safety procedures and maintenance standards.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification.
- Experience maintaining and repairing heavy mining equipment.
- Experience with Sandvik drills, Liebherr excavators or CAT shovels highly desirable.
- A valid Australian driver's licence.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
