About the role

Wintringham’s Port Melbourne Hostel is seeking a Domestic Services Attendant to join our team. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents. Reporting to the Residential Site manager, responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors
  •  Ensure provision of clean laundry throughout the home
  • Cleaning duties as per schedule 
  • Participate in resident ordering system 
  • Maintain equipment in line with manufacturer’s instructions 

What are we looking for?

  • Ability to manage time 
  • Ability to work without direct supervision 
  • Physically able to perform required tasks 
  • Ability to work as part of the team 
  • Certificates in HACC or Occupational Health and Safety such as infection control, use of chemicals and manual handling  
  • Certificates in Food Handling/Food Hygiene 

What we offer

Employment type: Part Time Role

Pay: $31.46 - $32.28/hour (depending on your quals & experience) plus super. Above Award pay and not-for-profit salary packaging benefits of up to $18,500 each year.

Location: Port Melbourne Hostel (VIC)

Roster/hours of work: 9 shifts per fortnight – 67.5 hours per fortnight

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
