Quicksilver Cruises is seeking an enthusiastic and safety-focused Dive Instructor to join our experienced dive team based in Port Douglas.

Operating daily on the Great Barrier Reef, this is an opportunity to work in one of the world's most iconic marine environments while delivering exceptional diving experiences to guests from around the world.

About the role

As a Dive Instructor, you will play an important role in delivering safe, professional and memorable diving experiences for our guests.

Reporting to the Dive Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include:    

• Leading certified dives, conducting PADI DSD experiences and our Oceanwalker program.
• Delivering dive briefings and ensuring guests understand safety and operational requirements.
• Providing high-quality instruction and supervision to divers of varying experience levels.
• Conducting equipment checks and maintaining high standards of dive safety.
• Monitoring guest wellbeing and responding appropriately to changing conditions.
• Supporting other vessel and guest operations as required.
• Maintaining professional standards and contributing to a positive team culture.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A current PADI Dive Instructor qualification.
• Current First Aid, CPR and oxygen provider qualifications.
• Relevant commercial diving experience, preferably within a tourism operation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine commitment to safety and following operational procedures.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A professional and positive approach to guest service.
• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in changing operational conditions.
