About the Role:
We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing care team. You will be responsible for delivering personalized support to individuals, helping them live as independently and comfortably as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany clients during day-to-day routines, outings, and community activities
- Support clients with safe mobility, including transfers and movement around the home or outdoors
- Assist with meal planning and basic food preparation to meet nutritional needs
- Organise and participate in social and recreational activities tailored to clients’ interests
- Perform light household tasks such as tidying, vacuuming, and general cleaning
- Help with personal hygiene routines including showering, dressing, and grooming
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental and emotional wellbeing
- Run local errands and assist with grocery shopping when required
- In some cases, provide live-in support to ensure continuity of care and safety
Skills and Experience:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field
- At least a year of relevant experience in disability or aged care support
- Ability to provide high-quality, person-focused care
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
- Flexibility to work shifts across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
