With a strong reputation for safety, quality workmanship and long-term client partnerships, they provide employees with stable work, modern facilities and ongoing development opportunities.

Your new role
As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out rebuilds, repairs and major overhauls on heavy mining equipment within a well-equipped Mackay workshop. Working as part of an experienced team, you will perform hands-on mechanical maintenance across a range of mobile mining assets including haul trucks, dozers, graders, excavators and associated components. This position offers consistent workshop-based work on large-scale equipment without the uncertainty of shutdown-to-shutdown employment.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, hydraulics and heavy equipment components
  • Experience performing repairs, rebuilds and overhauls on heavy machinery
  • Previous mining or heavy equipment maintenance experience
  • CAT equipment experience highly regarded
  • Ability to work a 7/7 rotating day and night roster
  • Reliable work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Strong focus on safety and teamwork

What you'll get in return
In return, you will secure a long-term opportunity with a reputable mining services organisation that values its employees and invests in their development. You'll enjoy a genuine work-life balance on a 7/7 roster, weekly pay, ongoing workshop-based work, competitive rates ranging from $53.00 to $63.42 per hour permanent or $58.00 to $69.92 per hour casual (depending on experience), ongoing training opportunities, referral bonuses, access to an Employee Assistance Program and the chance to work on some of the largest mining equipment in the industry alongside a supportive and experienced team.
