HSE Advisor | Tier 1 & Tier 2 Commercial Builders

Fetch Recruitment is seeking experienced HSE Advisors (Intermediate and Senior) for multiple opportunities with established Tier 1 and Tier 2 commercial builders across Melbourne.

With a strong pipeline of high-value commercial construction projects, these opportunities offer exposure to a variety of developments valued up to $300m. Whether your background is in high-rise construction, healthcare, education or complex commercial developments, we want to hear from you.
 
The Projects
Opportunities are available across a diverse range of commercial construction projects, including:

• High-rise commercial towers and office developments
• Luxury apartments and mixed-use developments
• Hospitals and major healthcare facilities
• Schools, universities and education facilities
• Data centres and technology developments

 
The Role
These are hands-on, site-based positions where you will work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and HSE leadership to drive safety performance across major construction projects.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting site inspections, safety audits and compliance reviews.
• Reviewing SWMS, risk assessments and high-risk construction activities.
• Monitoring subcontractor compliance and following through on corrective actions.
• Providing practical HSE advice and guidance to site teams.
• Investigating incidents, identifying hazards and implementing preventative measures.
• Ensuring compliance with Victorian OHS legislation and project safety requirements.
• Delivering toolbox talks and engaging with workers to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Working alongside project teams to maintain consistent safety standards throughout construction.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years' experience in an HSE, OH&S or WHS role.
• Minimum Certificate 4 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• MUST HAVE Previous experience in commercial construction within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder.
• Experience working on complex, high-value construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across site teams and subcontractors.
• A proactive, practical approach to safety and the confidence to influence site behaviours.
