Located in Broome WA 6725, The Barber of Broome is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Hairdresser to become part of their professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consulting with clients to understand their individual hair styling and grooming requirements.
• Cutting, trimming, shaping and styling hair using scissors, clippers, razors and other professional hairdressing tools.
• Providing a range of men’s grooming services, including traditional and contemporary haircuts, fades and styling.
• Trimming and shaping beards and moustaches and providing shaving and grooming services as required.
• Washing, conditioning and treating hair and scalp according to individual client needs.
• Advising clients on suitable hairstyles, hair care, grooming techniques and appropriate hair and skincare products.
• Maintaining professional standards of presentation, hygiene and sanitation of tools, equipment and work areas.
• Keeping up to date with current hairdressing and barbering techniques, styles and grooming trends.
• Delivering friendly and professional customer service while contributing to a welcoming salon environment.
About you:
• At least one year of relevant experience as a Hairdresser, Barber or in a similar professional role.
• Strong hair cutting, styling and grooming skills, with confidence using scissors, clippers and razors.
• Knowledge of contemporary and traditional hairdressing and barbering techniques.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service approach.
• Ability to understand client preferences and provide personalised hair and grooming services.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high professional and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum
