Information Protection Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Information Protection Specialist to lead the establishment and maturity of enterprise information classification and protection capabilities, with a focus on Microsoft Purview, unstructured data, governance and compliance outcomes.
This role will act as the SME responsible for designing, embedding and operationalising information protection controls, ensuring they become sustainable business capabilities rather than standalone technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and mature enterprise information classification and protection capabilities.
- Configure and optimise Microsoft Purview information protection solutions.
- Align information protection controls with governance, risk, privacy and compliance requirements.
- Develop reporting and insights to measure classification coverage, protection effectiveness and risk trends.
- Support control assurance activities and audit readiness.
- Deliver knowledge transfer and establish sustainable operating model processes.
About You
- Proven experience implementing information protection and information classification frameworks within large or complex organisations.
- Strong Microsoft Purview expertise, particularly sensitivity labels, auto-classification, governance and unstructured data protection.
- Experience across data governance, risk and compliance initiatives.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into practical business and regulatory outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate evidence-based delivery of Information Protection, Data Governance, Risk and Compliance outcomes, with experience embedding sustainable operational capabilities and driving organisational adoption.
