YOUR ROLE

As a KEY member of this winning team of intellectual property specialists (led by some of Australia's most accomplished and internationally renowned IP specialists), being MENTORED by a top-notch senior IP/commercial lawyer with a flourishing TM practice, you will relish engaging in intellectually stimulating and interesting work acting for a diverse client base.

Specifically, you will enjoy the diversity of advising and litigating on:

  • trade marks (predominantly) including brand selection strategies, searches, contracts, registration, prosecution, opposition, non-use and licensing, infringement actions, dispute resolution/litigation.

Some scope (in the future) to engage in:

  • commercial transactions including contracts, franchising, intellectual property, trade practices, employment law, estate planning/succession, trusts, corporate/business law.

WHO YOU ARE

We are interested in hearing from you if you:

  • Are an admitted solicitor (or soon to be) in Australia (essential);
  • have a minimum of 12 months' (or more) experience in trademarks [eg preparing/filing TM applications/renewals and conducting searches+ managing TM portfolios+ oppositions+disputes/litigation];
  • are a qualified Trade Mark Attorney (preferable);
  • have high attention to detail+ strong drafting/communication/people skills+ commercial acumen;
  • are self-driven+ hungry to be part of a fast-growing dynamic 'non-vanilla' national firm that encourages excellence/innovation and has the resources to support and help you to reach your full potential.
