Wilson Security is seeking experienced Security / Access Control Officers – Full‑Time Relievers (FTR) to support Department of Defence Base Security Services across Western Australia.

This is a full‑time role with guaranteed hours, offering exposure across multiple Defence sites, additional Reliever Allowances, and strong career development within a national specialist Defence security network.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Full‑Time Reliever, you will be contracted to full‑time hours and deployed across multiple Defence sites as operationally required. In exchange for flexibility, Full‑Time Relievers receive Reliever Allowances as per the Award, rather than a fixed fortnightly roster.

Key details:

  • Full‑time employment (guaranteed hours)
  • Multiple Defence locations across WA
  • 12‑hour rotating shifts (days and nights, 24/7 environment)
  • Reliever Allowances paid in accordance with the Award
  • Potential earnings up to $90,000+ pa
    (Subject to classification, allowances, overtime, and hours worked)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Physical access control and gatehouse operations
  • Identification verification and personnel access management
  • Monitoring CCTV and electronic access control systems
  • Internal and external security patrols
  • Incident response and emergency management
  • Contractor and delivery management
  • Hazard identification and reporting
  • Accurate incident and HSE reporting
  • Supporting Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS (NON‑NEGOTIABLE)

Applicants must hold all of the following:

  • ✅ Australian Citizenship
  • ✅ Current AGSVA Security Clearance:
    • Baseline, Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) or NV2
  • ✅ Current WA Security Licence
  • ✅ Unrestricted WA Driver’s Licence
  • ✅ Current First Aid Certificate
  • ✅ Availability for rotating 12‑hour shifts

Only candidates meeting all clearance and licensing requirements will be considered.
