Roster: 40 hours per week, including 1 weekend day (typically a 4-day week)
About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy and provide an exceptional customer experience. This is a sole pharmacist role with support from a dispensary technician two days per week. You will oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, including dispensing, patient care, and team leadership, while upholding professional and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pharmacy and dispensary team to ensure efficient workflow and minimal customer wait times
- Deliver exceptional customer service in line with our “Making a Difference” principles
- Promote in-store health initiatives and provide healthcare solutions, including vaccinations and over-the-counter recommendations
- Manage dispensary operations: prescriptions, stock control, claiming, filing, and accuracy checks
- Supervise and coach staff to maintain high standards of customer service and team collaboration
- Dispense cannabis products and manage ordering processes
- Administer and promote vaccination services
- Prepare Webster packs (approximately 20 per week)
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, OHS policies, and pharmacy procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- Current AHPRA registration
- Personal indemnity insurance
- Vaccination-trained pharmacist
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Professional, ethical, and patient-focused approach
- Experience with dispensary software (Fred NXT + POS; soon transitioning to LS Retail POS)
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
