We host a wide variety of events - corporate lunches, dinners or cocktail parties, media launches, private milestone celebrations and weddings. We also operate a chef’s tasting dining room, open to the public throughout the week.

About the Role
Eureka 89 is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences. In this full-time position, you’ll play a key leadership role in the kitchen, taking ownership of your section while supporting the Executive Chef, Head Chef and wider brigade. You’ll combine hands-on culinary expertise with organisation, creativity and calm leadership to deliver consistently outstanding food. This is an opportunity to mentor developing chefs, contribute to seasonal menu ideas and help shape a positive, high-performing kitchen culture.

What You'll Be Doing
- Plan, coordinate and lead food preparation and cooking within your section
- Deliver exceptional quality, flavour and presentation on every plate
- Coach, train and mentor junior kitchen team members, providing constructive feedback that builds confidence and capability
- Work with the Head Chef to develop fresh, innovative menus inspired by the seasons and guest preferences
- Manage stock rotation, monitor shortages and waste, and support effective food and labour cost control
- Maintain impeccable food hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen, Front of House and Sales teams to create seamless guest experiences
- Stay flexible and ready to support different sections as service demands
About You
You’re a passionate, hands-on chef who leads by example and brings energy to every service. You have excellent knife skills, strong knowledge of ingredients and cooking methods, and a sharp eye for detail. Calm under pressure, you manage your time well, solve problems quickly, and communicate clearly. Most importantly, you care about your team, take pride in exceptional presentation and bring a proactive, safety-focused, ‘can-do’ attitude to the kitchen.

Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a commercial kitchen, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role
- Commercial Cookery qualification (or similar)
- Knowledge of stock control, food cost management and food safety requirements
- Specialist training or expertise in particular cooking techniques will be highly regarded
The successful candidate will be avaliable to work across a seven-day roster, including public holidays and shifts between 7.00 am and midnight. They will have the physical capacity to work on their feet for extended periods and safely lift, move and store stock weighing up to 20 kg. They will hold full working rights in Australia.
