About The Company

Our client is a professional team of hydraulic and mechanical specialists based in the Fraser Coast, just 15 minutes from Hervey Bay.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to run the day-to-day operation of the workshop, keeping technicians on the tools, jobs flowing, and customers informed.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing customer service - phones, bookings, repair updates, and collections
  • Coordinating workshop scheduling - tracking every job, technician, and priority to keep techs moving with no downtime
  • Building and following up quotes, applying pricing, freight and labour correctly
  • Sourcing and ordering parts, managing inventory, and coordinating warranty claims
  • Owning each job through its full lifecycle, from approval through to invoicing
  • Coordinating mobile service jobs, breakdowns, and route planning across the service trucks
  • Supporting technicians proactively - parts, approvals, and customer calls sorted before they're needed
  • Following up quotes and dormant customers, and promoting mobile service and preventative maintenance

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability tojuggle multiple jobs 
  • Excellent communication skills across customers, technicians, and suppliers
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset - someone who sees issues coming and sorts them before they escalate
  • Good computer skills and the ability to pick up new software quickly
  • Mechanically minded, or an interest in hydraulic and mechanical equipment - hydraulic knowledge isn't essential, just a willingness to learn
  • Reliability and accountability, with a strong attention to detail
