About the role
As Operations Leader – Service Delivery (Civil), you’ll take a hands-on leadership role supervising a maintenance crew responsible for delivering essential civil and public domain maintenance services across the Georges River Local Government Area. You’ll coordinate daily activities, prioritise workloads and ensure labour, plant, equipment and materials are effectively managed to deliver works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You’ll lead and support your crew to achieve strong safety, customer service and operational outcomes, while monitoring work quality and team performance. You’ll provide guidance and on-the-job support, ensure compliance with WHS requirements and safe work practices, and build positive relationships with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for an experienced civil maintenance professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems on the ground and delivering quality services for the community.

The successful candidate will have
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in motivating and leading a maintenance crew
- Experience in providing maintenance services and a demonstrated ability to be accountable for agreed work methods, standard and outcome
- Capacity to plan, prioritise and organise daily work schedules.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and/or various equipment common to cleansing, civil construction and/or trades maintenance.
- Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Appropriate written and oral communication skills
