Metal Fabricators / Welders

Australian Security Fencing Pty Ltd is seeking two experienced Metal Fabricators / Welders to join its team. The successful candidates will undertake metal fabrication, welding, and assembly work to support the company’s operational requirements.

This role is suited to skilled tradespeople with practical workshop experience, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare metal materials for fabrication and assembly.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components to required specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment using appropriate welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding, as required.
• Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, drills, and cutting equipment safely.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and structural integrity.
• Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, and workplace safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
• Perform general workshop duties and other relevant tasks as required.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and work cooperatively with the team.

Skills and Experience

• Approximately five years of relevant experience in metal fabrication and/or welding.
• Demonstrated practical welding and fabrication skills.
• Experience using workshop tools, machinery, and welding equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable work practices and a commitment to workplace safety.
