Position: Engineering Technologist

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $79,000 to $89,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Berrinba QLD 4117

Our client 888 Electrical Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist to support the delivery, testing and implementation of electrical engineering technologies and projects.

The successful applicant will work with engineers, electricians, technicians and project personnel to analyse existing systems, develop practical technical solutions and support the implementation and improvement of electrical engineering projects working throughout Queensland.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Analyse and evaluate existing electrical systems, equipment and engineering technologies.
2. Research and recommend suitable engineering technologies and technical solutions.
3. Modify and improve existing engineering systems to enhance efficiency, reliability and performance.
4. Assist with the development and implementation of electrical engineering projects and technical solutions.
5. Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, electrical schematics and project documentation.
6. Conduct inspections, testing and technical evaluations of electrical systems and equipment.
7. Analyse test results and assist with fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
8. Support testing, commissioning and implementation of electrical equipment and systems.
9. Ensure engineering technologies and installations comply with relevant Australian Standards, regulations and project requirements.
10. Prepare technical reports, project documentation and recommendations.
11. Liaise with engineers, electricians, suppliers, contractors and clients on technical matters.
12. Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering systems, processes and project delivery.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
2. Demonstrated experience in an engineering technology or electrical engineering environment.
3. Ability to analyse technical information and develop practical engineering solutions.
4. Experience with electrical systems, testing, commissioning and technical inspections.
5. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
7. Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and workplace safety requirements.
