Civil Estimator – Head of Estimating & Pre-Contracts Brisbane, QLD

About the Company Our client is an established Brisbane civil contractor delivering subdivisions, roads and environmental civil projects. With the business growing, they’re creating a leadership position to head their estimating and pre-contracts function.

The Role You’ll head the estimating and pre-contracts team, take ownership of tenders and build the department as the business grows. You’ll work directly with the Director, with a real opportunity to shape the department and build a team around you.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating and pre-contracts team and own the tender process from start to finish
• Price civil projects accurately, including subdivisions, roads and environmental works
• Prepare reliable budgets and tender programs
• Assess tender risks with confidence and advise the Director
• Bring your understanding of construction delivery into every tender
• Build the department’s systems, processes and team as the business grows

About You

• Leadership capability to head the team, take ownership of tenders and build the department as you grow
• At least five years’ experience estimating subdivision projects, with a proven record of winning and accurately pricing work
• A Bachelor of Engineering
• An engineering and/or project management background
• A strong grasp of construction delivery, budgets and programs
