The Opportunity
Join an established property investment and funds management group with a diverse portfolio of commercial assets, entities and trusts.
Working within an experienced finance team, this hands-on Financial Accountant role will take ownership of core financial reporting while providing broader exposure across the portfolio, including commercial analysis, stakeholder engagement and investment-related activity.
It’s an excellent next step for someone looking to move beyond traditional month-end and build greater ownership within a sophisticated, commercially focused environment.
Role Profile:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Month-end accounting and preparation of management reports
- Financial reporting across multiple entities, trusts and property assets
- Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Cash flow monitoring and reporting
- Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Assisting with investor distributions and related reporting
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Preparation of statutory accounts and supporting schedules
- BAS and other regulatory reporting requirements
- Supporting the year-end audit and external advisers
- Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and financial data
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
As you develop within the role, there will also be opportunities to become increasingly involved in portfolio analysis, budgeting and broader commercial finance initiatives.
Successful Candidate Profile:
We're looking for a technically capable Financial Accountant who enjoys working across a complex environment and wants to continue broadening their experience. Ideally, you will bring:
- CA/CPA qualification
- 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience in the property sector
- Strong month-end and financial reporting capability
- Experience working across multiple entities
- Strong reconciliation and balance sheet management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Confidence working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Previous experience within property, funds management, real estate investment or a similarly structured multi-entity environment will be highly regarded.
