7 STAR FACILITIES PTY LTD is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join its operations in Alice River, QLD. The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with Australian road transport regulations and company procedures. The company follows a structured operational approach, including tailored service planning, appropriate allocation of staff and equipment, punctual service delivery, and ongoing client support.
Key Responsibilities
·Operate heavy vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently in accordance with delivery schedules and operational requirements.
·Determine suitable travel routes and delivery sequences to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of freight.
·Load, position, secure and unload goods using appropriate handling techniques to prevent damage during transit.
·Conduct pre-start, in-transit and post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying mechanical faults and reporting maintenance requirements promptly.
·Complete and maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, consignment notes and other transport documentation.
·Monitor vehicle condition, fuel usage and service intervals, arranging routine maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
·Comply with road transport legislation, fatigue management requirements, mass and load restraint regulations, and workplace health and safety standards.
·Liaise with dispatch personnel, customers and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries, collections and resolve transport-related issues.
·Verify freight against delivery documentation and ensure cargo is transported and delivered securely and in good condition.
·Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle while ensuring it is equipped for safe and efficient operation.
Essential Requirements
- One year relevant experience as a Truck Driver.
- Appropriate Australian Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence (HR, HC or MC, as applicable).
- Good knowledge of Australian road transport regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to maintain accurate transport documentation and logbooks.
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety and customer service.
