Our client is a private company based in Hobart.
Your new role
We are seeking a Tester with experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and data solutions. The role will involve test planning, execution, defect management, and collaboration with development and business teams in an AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, integration, and system testing.
- Validate business and technical requirements for AWS-hosted applications and services.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Perform API, UI, and end-to-end testing across cloud-based applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to support quality delivery.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, and release activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in functional testing with a mix of manual and automation testing.
- Experience testing applications and services hosted on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, test methodologies, and defect life cycle management.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or other test management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
What you'll need to succeed
- Knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native testing approaches.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- AWS certification or relevant cloud testing experience.
