Bakery Retail Manager – Minlaton, SA
Kogan People Solutions is recruiting for a busy, well-established bakery in Minlaton on the Yorke Peninsula. The business serves locals, tradespeople and tourists with fresh bread, pies, pastries, cakes and coffee, and is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead its shop operations.

- Employment type: Full-time, ongoing
- Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
About the Role
You will manage the day-to-day running of the bakery’s retail operations. You will ensure the shop runs profitably and to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily retail operations
- Monitor budget, sales and costs
- Plan product ranges, display, pricing and promotions in consultation with the owners and production staff
- Order stock and supplies, manage supplier relationships, and control stock levels and wastage
- Recruit, train, roster and supervise retail staff, and manage performance and payroll records
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, WHS and other regulatory requirements
- Handle customer enquiries, special orders and complaints
- Maintain point-of-sale and ordering systems and improve shop procedures
Skills and Experience
- Diploma or higher in Business, Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- At least one year’s experience managing a busy food retail operation such as a bakery, supermarket, grocer, service station or quick-service restaurant
- Experience with budgeting, sales reporting and cost control
- Experience with stock ordering, inventory control and suppliers
- Experience recruiting, rostering and supervising staff
- Sound knowledge of food safety and WHS requirements
- Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills
- Experience with POS systems.
