Internal Audit Advisor

As our highly valued Internal Audit Advisor based in Brisbane and Sydney, you'll play an important role in supporting our purpose of helping every Australian own their own home. You'll partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver risk-based internal audits, provide trusted advice on risk and controls, and contribute to strengthening governance and risk management practices across Great Southern Bank.

You'll make an impact by:

• Delivering risk-based internal audits, from planning through to reporting and follow-up.
• Identifying, analysing and assessing risks and controls, providing practical recommendations that support better business outcomes.
• Building trusted relationships with leaders across the business to support effective risk management and control practices
• Contributing to the development of the rolling internal audit plan and continuous improvement of audit processes

Do things differently with us

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• 3+ years' experience in internal audit, risk, assurance, financial services or professional services.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify risks and evaluate control effectiveness.
• Experience engaging with business stakeholders and building productive working relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting findings.
• CPA, CA, CIA, IIA qualifications (or progress towards completion) will be highly regarded.
