Your new role

Are you someone who enjoys keeping things organised, solving problems and helping people? Join our People & Culture team as an HR Coordinator, where you'll play an important role in supporting our employees and leaders throughout their employment journey.

Working alongside our HR Advisors, you'll coordinate recruitment and onboarding administration, prepare employment documentation, maintain accurate employee records and support workforce screening and compliance processes. You'll also respond to HR enquiries, help employees navigate our systems and contribute to improving the way we deliver our services.

About your team

You'll be part of our People Hub, working within the HR Connect team — the first point of contact for employees and leaders seeking HR support across Uniting Victoria and Tasmania.

We support a large and diverse workforce, which means no two days are quite the same! We're a team that values collaboration, sharing knowledge, finding practical solutions and supporting each other to deliver a great employee experience.

Benefits of working at Uniting

Our work isn’t easy, but it matters. Work with people who care as much as you.

At Uniting you can access the following:

  • Salary packaging to increase take-home pay.
  • Need extra time off? Buy additional leave to increase annual leave!
  • Up to 10 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers (4 for secondary).
  • Free counselling with our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Training and development opportunities to help you grow.

Your skills and experience

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in getting things right. You'll be comfortable managing competing priorities, navigating HR systems and working in an environment where accuracy and confidentiality really matter.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Experience in HR administration or employee lifecycle coordination.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and employment changes.
  • Confidence using HR systems, managing data and maintaining accurate records.
  • An understanding of employment conditions, awards and HR processes.
  • A relevant HR qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with PageUp or PayGlobal would be an advantage but is not essential.
