About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Casual Maintenance Technician to join the facilities team at a premium retail destination in Perth’s Northern Suburbs.
This is an opportunity to work within a high-profile retail environment where presentation, safety and operational reliability are paramount. Working alongside the site operations team and specialist contractors, you will play an important role in maintaining the asset to a high standard, responding to maintenance requests and ensuring the centre remains safe, functional and welcoming for retailers, customers and visitors.
The successful candidate will bring a practical, solutions-focused approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake general building maintenance, minor repairs and preventative maintenance across the asset.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, identify defects and implement appropriate rectification works.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, fixtures, fittings, equipment and common areas.
- Assist with the upkeep of plant rooms, back-of-house areas and building infrastructure.
- Identify potential hazards, maintenance issues and opportunities to improve asset presentation and functionality.
- Coordinate with specialist contractors and support the delivery of planned maintenance activities.
- Accurately record maintenance activities, work orders and outstanding issues.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all relevant WHS requirements, site procedures and permit requirements.
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service while working in an operational retail environment.
