Telecommunications Linesworker (Multiple positions)

888 Electrical Solutions is a National Electrical / HVAC / Fire & Telecommunications contracting and service organisation who is looking for new service & construction Telecommunications Linesworker to assist in our expanding work requirements for the telecommunication industry.

Multiple positions located in Cairns and Townsville, Queensland.

Full-time

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000 Annually

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Supplementary Pay: Overtime pay

Qualifications/experience required

1. Certificate III or higher qualification in Telecommunications / Engineering or three (3) + years relevant employment experience in the absence of a qualification
2. At least 12 months of relevant employment experience in telecommunications industry
3. Commitment to safe work practices;
4. Knowledge of installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles, roof tops and towers;
5. Basic understanding of transmission systems including PDH, SDH, DWDM, ATM and packet switched networks;
6. Previous experience installing and/or supporting Huawei, Nokia and Ericsson RBS, WCDMA/LTE.
7. Basic or advanced rigging (preferred).

Duties will include but not limited to:

1. Installations, relocation, additions, changes, diagnostics, maintenance and repair support for customer telecommunications equipment and systems;
2. Install, commission, diagnose, repair and maintain radio network systems;
3. Install, commission, diagnose, repair and maintain mobile data networks;
4. Installation and maintenance of broadcast, radio, cellular, Wi-Fi and digital networks;
5. Conducting line of sight surveys;
6. Ensuring all tasks are completed with quality workmanship;
7. Inspecting completed works and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Licence/Certification:

1. White Card (Preferred)
2. Driver Licence (Required)

Ability to commute/relocate:

1. Queensland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
