The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the state-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.

Procurement Services Directorate is a key part of the Commercial and Contract Management division, responsible for delivering end-to-end procurement services and strategic procurement support to enable the successful delivery of the Department’s transport infrastructure projects.

The Procurement Officer manages end-to-end construction procurement activities, providing expert advice and fostering strong stakeholder relationships to deliver compliant, value-for-money outcomes. We are seeking a proactive and collaborative professional with well-developed procurement, communication and problem-solving skills, who can work independently, exercise sound judgement and effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Educational Qualifications /Licences 

  • Any qualification in procurement, engineering or construction management will be highly regarded 

Special Conditions

  • A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
  • Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.

 
Remuneration
ASO5 - $92,122 to $102,456 pa + superannuation.
