About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Education Manager to join our leadership team. This senior leadership appointment carries accountability for setting the direction of the education portfolio, supporting executive decision-making and ensuring strong operational governance.
Responsibilities
- Advise the Director on vocational education strategy, regulatory obligations and changes and emerging trends affecting the training sector.
- Lead the development, implementation and review of educational policies, performance plans and quality assurance frameworks.
- Oversee training program delivery and monitor organisational performance against targets for enrolments, course completion and student satisfaction.
- Review program performance using student and delivery data, and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve course structure and delivery.
- Prepare and manage the education division’s annual budget, monitor financial performance and apply sound cost-management and governance practices across training activities.
- Lead the preparation of teaching and learning proposals, executive reports, compliance submissions and associated portfolio documentation.
- Manage strategic education projects and innovation initiatives that improve educational quality and learner outcomes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to trainers, assessors and education administration staff, including identifying professional development needs.
- Coordinate the review and development of training and assessment resources.
- Report to senior management on education delivery, academic performance and training operations.
Skills and Qualification
- Formal tertiary qualification in Education Management or a similar recognised qualification.
- A minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in an Education Manager position.
- A track record of leading teaching and assessment teams and overseeing day-to-day educational operations.
- Ability to analyse course and learner performance data and translate findings into practical improvement actions.
- Experience in shaping, reviewing and developing training and assessment materials that meet quality and innovation expectations.
