Job Title
Senior DevOps Engineer | Azure & IaC

Deliver secure, scalable and resilient cloud platforms as a Senior DevOps Engineer across a major Australian Government modernisation program. Work with Azure and hybrid cloud, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and DevSecOps to improve platform reliability, automation and security.

Location: ACT
Contract Duration: To 30 June 2027 with up to 2 x 2-month extensions
Security Clearance Requirement: Baseline
Closing Date: 10:00am, Thursday 10 September 2026

Essential Tasks

• Design, build and support secure Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or equivalent technologies.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines while embedding DevSecOps, automated testing and security controls.
• Manage cloud networking, identity, monitoring, vulnerabilities, disaster recovery and complex operational issues.

Key Criteria

• Availability Management Level 4, including disaster recovery and recovery testing capability.
• Systems Integration and Build Level 5, including automation and continuous integration.
• Methods and Tools Level 5 and Systems Design Level 5 capability.
• Programming/Software Development Level 4 and Systems Development Management Level 5 capability.
