Service Manager (AC8268)

An established multi-franchise automotive dealership in Hobart is seeking an experienced Service Manager to take ownership of its service operation and bring strong structure, accountability and leadership to the department.

This role will suit a hands-on dealership Service Manager who understands that strong results come from getting the fundamentals right. You will be responsible for improving workshop productivity and efficiency, tightening operating processes and ensuring outstanding repair orders, manufacturer claims and booking workflows are properly controlled.

You will lead an established team that includes technicians, Service Advisers, a Foreman and warranty support. A key part of the role will be developing the front-line team, setting clear expectations and ensuring processes are consistently followed without requiring constant senior management oversight.

The business is looking for someone who has already operated in a dealership service-management environment and can confidently step in, assess what needs attention and take action. Multi-franchise experience will be highly regarded, while a technical automotive background would be a strong advantage.

This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in a department where the business is committed to getting the right leader in place. The remuneration will reflect experience, with a base around $100,000+ and scope to negotiate further for a particularly strong candidate. Performance-based KPIs can form part of the overall package.
