Your new company
Take ownership of projects from tender through to delivery with a respected South Australian contractor.Hays Construction is partnering with a well-established contractor delivering demolition, remediation, earthworks and civil construction projects across the commercial, infrastructure and development sectors.Due to continued growth, an opportunity exists for a Project Manager / Estimator to join a close-knit team in Adelaide. This is a hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys being involved in the full project lifecycle, with a particular focus on documentation, contract administration, tendering and project delivery.
Your new roleReporting to senior management, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing estimates, tenders and project submissions.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
  • Managing project budgets, variations and procurement.
  • Developing construction methodologies, scopes of work and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project performance, programme and commercial outcomes.
  • Ensuring project documentation is accurate, compliant and maintained throughout delivery.
  • Supporting site teams with contractual and technical project requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience as a Project Manager, Estimator or Project Engineer within civil construction, demolition, remediation, earthworks or a related sector.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract administration.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to prepare tenders, methodologies, SWMS, scopes of work and project documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
