About the role
GV Automotive Services Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team in Shepparton. You will diagnose, repair and maintain a range of vehicles, delivering quality workmanship and professional service to our customers.
Duties and responsibilities
- Diagnose and detect faults in engines, mechanical components and vehicle systems using computerised diagnostic equipment and other electronic tools
- Test, adjust and tune repaired components to ensure performance and reliability
- Carry out vehicle repairs and maintenance as per repair orders, including replacing worn or defective parts
- Perform scheduled servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups and general servicing
- Dismantle, remove and reassemble engines, transmissions, steering systems and other mechanical components
- Inspect vehicles and identify the repairs required
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and suppliers
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services and parts used
Skills, qualifications and experience
- AQF Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent or higher trade qualification)
- Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic (ANZSCO ******) in the automotive industry
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work full-time (38 hours per week), with some flexibility for additional hours as required by business needs
- Current Victorian driver’s licence
