Freight Sorter / Dock Hand – $39/hr | Dandenong South
Monday to Friday | 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM | $39 per hour | Ongoing Work
ProQuest Recruitment is currently looking for reliable, physically fit and hardworking Freight Sorters / Dock Hands to join a leading transport and logistics company based in Dandenong South.
With peak season approaching, we are looking to build a strong team of reliable people who are ready to work and want ongoing Monday to Friday employment.
The Role
This is a hands-on and physical role working within a busy freight dock. You will be responsible for sorting and moving freight quickly and accurately to ensure deliveries are processed on time.
Your duties will include:
Sorting freight according to destination and location
Loading and unloading freight
Lifting and moving cartons and freight
Scanning and labelling freight
Assisting with general dock and warehouse duties
Working safely and efficiently as part of a team
Maintaining accuracy while working at a fast pace
No Experience Required!
Previous freight or warehouse experience is not essential.

Reliable and punctual
Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work
Comfortable with regular lifting
Willing to learn and work hard
Able to work in a super-fast-paced environment
Comfortable standing and working on your feet for the duration of the shift
Able to read and confidently recognise the alphabet and different letters – this is an important part of accurately sorting freight
Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
A team player with a positive attitude
Hours & Pay
Monday to Friday
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
$39 per hour
Ongoing work
Some flexibility around start and finish times is required, particularly as we move into peak season
Opportunity for additional hours as operational requirements increase
