Queensland Corrective Services is seeking experienced Psychologists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists for Mental Health Team Leader roles.

Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) is seeking experienced Psychologists, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists for Mental Health Team Leader roles at Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre (LVCC) and Southern Queensland Correctional Centre (SQCC), both located at Spring Creek, west of Ipswich.

LVCC is Queensland’s newest and largest correctional facility, opened in 2025, with a strong focus on rehabilitation including mental health, substance abuse treatment, education and vocational programs. SQCC is a high security women’s facility where clinicians support women with complex mental health, substance use and trauma histories.

About the Role:

  1. Lead complex assessment, intervention and person centred care
  2. Coordinate referral pathways, crisis responses and clinical reviews
  3. Chair multidisciplinary meetings, including suicide risk and complex case management
  4. Contribute to service and practice improvement
  5. Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching and performance support
  6. Build team capability through training and guideline development
  7. Provide feedback on clinical practice to support service integrity

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Behavioural Science and general registration with AHPRA, OR;
  2. Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration, OR;
  3. Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership
  4. C Class Driver Licence
