Site Manager

I’m currently working with a highly regarded commercial builder who is looking for an experienced Foreman to join their team on a landmark $30M education project in Ipswich.
This is a genuine opportunity for a proven construction professional who enjoys being hands-on, leading trades and keeping a project moving. You’ll work closely with an experienced Site Manager, giving you the support and structure to focus on site delivery and getting the job done right.
The Role
As Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key duties include:
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site trades
- Manage daily site activities and construction sequencing
- Coordinate trades to ensure programme milestones are achieved
- Monitor quality, workmanship and construction standards
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and site inspections
- Coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics
- Identify and resolve site issues as they arise
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Maintain a strong focus on WHS and site compliance
- Work closely with the Site Manager to drive project delivery
What You’ll Need
To be considered, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on commercial school/education projects
- A strong carpentry trade background
- Proven experience as a Foreman or leading hand within commercial construction
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
- Excellent subcontractor and trade management skills
- Current First Aid certification
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and programme
- The ability to work collaboratively with a Site Manager and broader project team
